“We do not live on the earth, we are the earth. Restoring that wisdom, inhabiting your body and reuniting with its sacred intelligence is one of the most powerful actions you can take in the world”
We are moving through such a thicket of excess and distraction, smothered and saturated without being the least bit satisfied. We need a moment of breakage, a clarion call to alert us to the mystery of ourselves and the universe around us.
Earth Tongue offers a sacred space for women to begin to remember the things we didn’t know we had forgotten. A way to remember to remember.
Calendar of Ceremonies 2020
A year long immersion into body, earth and soul. The year journey takes place over 3 long weekends and an 8 day retreat for the ancient rite of a 3 night solo nature vigil. You are welcome to attend a single lodge weekend or to travel through the whole of the year. If you feel called to the solo vigil you will need to apply in advance as well as committing to all the lodge weekends. There are only 6 places for the vigil so early application is advised.
Earth tongue takes place completely outside at a beautiful conservation site in Devon. Deer, foxes, badgers, owls, buzzards and bats dwell in the bluebell woodland alongside a wetland meadow flanked by the river Torridge, home to Kingfisher, Trout and Otter. At the heart of each gathering beats the ancient ceremony of a ‘stone people lodge’, embodiment practices, restorative silence, council and solo time. The longer retreat in September constellates around an ancient and universal rite of passage, a 3 day and night solo nature vigil.
